Welcome to Cozzi & Simone Photography

I take photographs to capture the energy of being encompassed in the present.  

Hi! I'm Aleksandra, the main photographer here at Cozzi&Simone.  I started taking photographs ten years ago and have found it to be the most rewarding and inspiring pursuit.

My portfolio is an eclectic compilation of flora, architecture, adventure and urban art I find on my neighborhood walks.  I love taking photos of children and youngsters, their curiosity and ease is a photographer's dream.  I often engage in candid portraiture that carries stillness but is robust and telling- I hope my photographs show a keen observation of the human character.  

My clients are energetic, experimental, adventurous and interesting humans with an appreciation for the beauty and esthetics of the unposed expressions. For staged portraiture, my guru is Seydou Keita - a self taught man, he photographed mostly in the 1940s - 1960s and usually took one, at most two frames per sitting.  I am enamored and inspired by his ways and I am currently working on a project that humbly tries to follow his footsteps.
